The Union

Arbory Street, Castletown, IM9 1LH | 01624 825286

50ft from Castletown Square, The Union is a fantastic pub, rich in history and character. It has been a pub since 1853 and before that, it was a brewery but now it has the far more impressive standing as the CADS HQ (that’s Castletown Ale Drinkers Society for those not in the know).

The Castle Arms

The Quayside, Castletown, IM9 1LD | 01624 824673

Quaint, cosy and full of charm from a bygone era, ‘The Glue Pot’ as it is far better known sits right on the harbour. The name ‘glue pot’ derives from when smugglers used to pop in for some light refreshment and find it difficult to leave and the name just stuck (no pun intended)!  The Glue Pot boasts it’s the closest pub to any castle wall in the UK and the only pub to appear on a currently circulated bank note – if you know different, get in touch.

The Colby Glen

Main Road, Colby, IM9 4LR | 01624 834853

A country pub not far from Ballabeg Hairpin, this is the perfect place for a traditional pub lunch inbetween races. Noted for its varied menu of classic dishes, the drinks range is big enough to match. This pub is well known for its friendly team and welcoming atmosphere.
